Mike Covell
Michael Covell is a Non-Executive Director of Hawksford International. He retired from Goldman Sachs in 2008 to take up various non executive/part-time positions with wealth management businesses and in family offices. At Goldman Sachs, he was a Managing Director in the European Private Wealth Management Division, first as Head of the Strategic Wealth Advisory Team (Europe), then Co-head of the Private Wealth Management Division (London) and subsequently Head of the Wealth Services Group (Europe). Before this, Michael was a senior partner at Rawlinson & Hunter, an international firm of Chartered Accountants, specialising principally in financial and taxation advice for wealthy international private clients.
Michael is a Non-Executive Chairman of the Bestinvest Group and holds two family office positions. He is also a Trustee of Leeds Castle Foundation.
He was educated at Harrow School, London and L'Institut Britannique, Paris. Michael’s interests include field sports, skiing, tobogganing, the ballet and contemporary art.
